- The Carmel Clay School District is one of the most highly awarded and well-renowned school systems in Indiana. In 2006, every Carmel Clay school received the designation of Exemplary from the Indiana Department of Education. In 2005, all eligible Carmel Clay schools received the designation of Four-Star School from the Indiana Department of Education.
